Welcome to the Quatsino Eco Tours.

We are a local family who would love to share our playground with you. If you are looking to explore this area for a few hours, please join us on our 21 foot boat, The Flying Dutchman. Lorill, our captain is fully certified through Canadian Power Squadron and has obtained the Pleasure Craft Operator Card.

We will take you on a tour through the Quatsino Narrows into Quatsino Sound. Let us know what you would like to see... some options include a tour of the little community of Quatsino, BC where we could visit the museum and St. Olafs Church built in 1898. Drake Island is the home of sea otters and we often see whales, eagles, and even the rare cougar or black bear. We could pull a prawn trap, crab trap or even venture further down the Sound to the edge of the wild Pacific Ocean, visiting the small community of Winter Harbour and view one of the last manned lighthouses in the province on Caines Island.

Our 21 foot Arima, Sea Ranger is extremely safe and comfortable. It is powered by a Yamaha 150 motor, has an on-board porta pottie, and is covered in case of rain. We supply lifejackets and require each guest to wear them while on board.

We are open to creating a trip that fits your time schedule and interests.  Please see suggested trip itineraries under the pages section of the home page.

We look forward to sharing our playground with you...

Sincerely,
Lorill and Jim Vining
